Mr. Mark S. Hale has been the Chief Technology Officer of Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. since July 2008 and as its Executive Vice President of Global Operations since February 2010. Mr. Hale served as Senior Vice President of Technology Operations at Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. since July 2008. He served as Senior Vice President/Technology Operations of The E. W. Scripps Company from August 3, 2006 to 2008. Mr. Hale served as Vice President - Technology Operations of The E. W. Scripps Company from May 20, 2005 to August 2006 and oversaw the Scripps information technology group, which provided strategic technological support for all of its national and local media businesses. He served as Executive Vice President - Operations Scripps Networks, LLC. from 1998 to 2005. In addition to HGTV, Scripps Networks lifestyle television brands include Food Network, DIY Network, Fine Living and Great American Country. Mr. Hale has 20 years experience developing and overseeing media technologies. He was a member of the original Scripps management team that oversaw the launch of HGTV in 1994. Before joining Scripps in 1994, he worked seven years building, engineering and overseeing operations for E! Entertainment Television's production facility in Los Angeles. Mr. Hale was a member of the start-up management team for the Movietime cable television network.
