Mr. Sameer Deen serves as the President of Cityeats at Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. Mr. Deen has been the Senior Vice President of Multi-Platform Distribution at Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. since July 10, 2014. He served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. Mr. Deen is responsible for expanding Scripps Networks Interactive's business through execution on a combination of acquisition, investment, divestiture and strategic joint venture activities. He also focuses on business development and entry strategies for new markets. He served as Senior Vice President of business development for Scripps Networks Digital. He served as Vice President of Corporate Development for Interactive Media Division of The E. W. Scripps Company from February 2006 to January 7, 2008. For the past five years, Mr. Deen was in the New York office of NBC Universal, where he was director, new media. In his role at NBC Universal he developed new distribution businesses, such as broadband, video on demand, high definition and interactive television, for feature films and broadcast and cable properties. While at NBC Universal, he also served as Director of financial and strategic planning for Universal Television Networks and senior analyst, business development, for USA Cable. Reporting to Tim Peterman, senior vice president of interactive media, he began his new position in late February and played a key role in negotiating last month's acquisition of uSwitch, the London-based company that provides online comparison searches for essential home services. Prior to NBC Universal, he served as a business development associate at GovWorks.com and was an investment banking analyst at Lehman Brothers in New York and London. He earned a bachelor's degree in commerce, with distinction, from McGill University in Montreal.
