What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Leadership creates an atmosphere of uncertainty and leaves unanswered questions. There was insufficient information and guidance, which occasionally made tasks more intricate than necessary.
Promised no more layoffs, 2 months later laying off 23% of the staff. Did 2 layofffs in total, with silent layoffs cut 40% of the staff

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Efforts and achievements are not acknowledged or appreciated and compensation doesn't align with my contributions.
A 30% increase would more fairly reflect the value my position adds to the company, and bring my role in line with other roles at Shopify.
Expectation to be significantly better at the job with no career path and marginal increases to pay
Our compensation framework is about to undergo significant changes to the positive, but currently it needs work. This is being addressed.
Its low compared to other companies. I would feel better if they paid me more.

There's a perceived lack of opportunities for professional development, career advancement, and skill enhancement.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
6 rounds, two case studies (excel + interview consulting case style). Shopify is very selective with whom joins their team in a good way. They want to make sure you will be a good fit for company and culture.
