Steven C. Sunshine — Partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom

Mr. Steven C. Sunshine has been employed at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, L.L.P. in the position of a Partner since January 2007. He was previously employed at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP in the position of Partner. He also serves as the head of the firm's Antitrust Practice Group and represents clients in connection with the antitrust aspects of mergers and acquisitions, litigation, counseling and grand jury investigations. He represents clients in connection with antitrust aspects of litigation, mergers and acquisitions, counseling and grand jury investigations. He regularly appears before the federal courts in connection with antitrust civil and criminal matters and before the European Commission. Prior to joining Cadwalader, Mr. Sunshine was the head of Shearman & Sterling LLP's worldwide Antitrust Practice Group. He is also the former Deputy Assistant Attorney General in charge of Merger Enforcement at the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division (1993-95). While there, he supervised interventions in over 35 proposed transactions, including those in the telecommunications, mining, computer and industrial equipment sectors. Mr. Sunshine is admitted in New York and the District of Columbia. He received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review and Order of the Coif, and an A.B. in Chemistry from Brown University.
