They do attempt transparency and better communication

What is the best part about your compensation package?
It is easy to understand and very affordable
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compared to the average company, benefits are fair - compared to the wider tech industry, benefits and comp are definitely below average. There's no equity or equivalent, no dedicated learning/PD account, no wellness account, and only $300 HSA. Base comp is based on about 45-55% of market value.
Pay bellow market rate for individual contributors. An across the board 20% increase would solve this. Remote is fine, but give more defined pathways to bonus and put everyone on a comp plan for success.
What are some of the best things about your team?
There's a fair amount of flexibility
Good people, always available to help. Sometimes overcommunciate things.
Everyone comes to the table with different backgrounds and skill sets, Teams work together on a common goal

There are lots of genuinely good and kind people
People really believe in the product and building strong relationships

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
We do a horrible job of listening to what our customers actually need. We have pretty low standards of what's considered an acceptable product - we don't strive to be enjoyable, we're happy as long as the product is usable and meets the minimum requirements
