Mr. Guy Sella Co-founded SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. in 2006 and has been its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 2006. Mr. Sella served as a Partner and Investment Manager at Star Ventures Management GmbH. He joined STAR Ventures in 2004 as a Ventures Partner. Mr. Sella served as a Manager at FotoNation Israel Ltd. since February 2005. He served for 14 years in the Israel Defense Forces where he served as a Chief of Command of the Technology Unit of the Department of Military Intelligence from 2001 to 2002. Mr. Sella began his career at the Israeli Defense Force in 1982, as a combat fighter of Special Operations Unit of the Intelligence Corps. He served as a Director of Technology in the Israeli National Security Council. Mr. Sella was an active member of the Counter Terrorism Bureau and participated in projects with the US Department of Defense's DARPA and the Technical Support Working Group. Among his business initiatives, he founded an engineering firm. He worked on the development of technological innovations at several leading companies. He has been a Director of SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. since 2006. Mr. Sella serves as a Director of WaveBender, Inc., OT Claroty Ltd. and AeroScout Inc. He serves as a Member of the Advisory Board at Capital Nature Ltd. He served as a Board Observer of Nanomix, Inc. He served as a Director of Vidyo, Inc. He served as the Director of technology of Israeli national labs. In recognition of his exceptional work in this field, he received the most revered Israel Defense Prize. Mr. Sella was honorably discharged as Lieutenant Colonel in 2002. He holds B.A. in Science in Management and Production Engineering and B.S. in Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, where he also trained in Mechanical Engineering and Physics.
