Executive Bio
Mr. Yoav Galin co-founded SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. in 2006 and has been its Vice President of Research & Development since 2006. Mr. Galin's responsibilities include leading the execution of SolarEdge's technology strategy, building and managing the technology team and overseeing research and development of SolarEdge's innovative photovoltaic power harvesting products. Prior to joining SolarEdge Technologies, Mr. Galin served for 11 years with the ERD (Electronics Research Department), a top R&D unit of Israeli national labs. During this period, Mr. Galin held various R&D and management positions. His responsibilities in the last position he held at the ERD included leading a project and its development team of over 30 hardware and software engineers. He was also responsible for defining and overseeing the research and development of future technologies. For his contributions to the ERD, Mr. Galin received a prestigious National Technological Innovation Award (2003), and is a laureate of the Israel Defense Award (2004). Mr. Galin earned his B.Sc in electronics engineering from Tel-Aviv University.
