Preceding Ernst & Young, he was Vice President of Operations at Union Memorial Hospital in North Carolina. He serves as a board member and treasurer of Big Brothers Big Sisters and as a board member of the Johnston YMCA. Mr. Byrd received his Bachelor of Science from North Carolina State University. He also holds a Masters in Health Business Administration from Duke University.
