Mr. John E. Bergeron Jr., also known as Jack, has been Senior Vice President of E&P Operations at Southwestern Energy Company since April 26, 2016. Mr. Bergeron served as Division Head and Senior Vice President of Southwestern Energy Co since July 2015 until April 26, 2016. Mr. Bergeron served as a Senior Vice President of Northeast Appalachia Division of Southwestern Energy Co until July 2015. Mr. Bergeron served as Vice President and General Manager - Southern Division at The Houston Exploration Company and was responsible for all aspects of its South Texas and Gulf Coast operations. Mr. Bergeron served as Vice President and General Manager for Offshore Division at Houston Exploration Co. since March 2005. Mr. Bergeron was responsible for all aspects of Houston Exploration's Gulf of Mexico operations including prospect generation, exploration and development drilling, technology and leasing opportunities. Since June 1995 until his employment with Houston Exploration, Mr. Bergeron worked for Fina Oil and Chemical Company, which was subsequently acquired by Total E&P USA Inc. While at Total he served as the Quality Manager from August 2004 to March 2005, overseeing management systems and operational improvements for its operations. From November 2002 to August 2004, he was Manager of Totals exploration operations at Alaskas North Slope. From January 2000 to November 2002, he served as Deputy & Manager of Totals U.S. onshore development operations and from October 1996 to January 2000, he was the Engineering Manager of the Development Division. He has also held positions at Southwest Royalties, Inc., Fina Oil and Chemical, Tenneco Oil Company and Gulf Oil Corporation. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas and received a bachelors degree in petroleum engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
