It'd be nice to see HR & DE&I policies interwoven into every practice & process within the company.
My team was the only part I enjoyed. The rest of the company cares about making the most money possible.
Transparency! Don't tell incoming employees what you think they WANT to hear; tell them the truth - even if it isn't the prettiest! Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.
* Listen to & actually HEAR your staff * Research, employ, & hold the ENTIRE staff - including potential candidates - accountable for poor behavior regardless of how much money the business makes * Secure proprietary files better
Compensation at Spec is seemingly based on however they feel like paying at the time. Pay ranges are NOT listed anywhere, nor is one able to gain access to any matrices. I started at $19/hr because they "couldn't afford...more". The next dept. hire was given $20, though I had more experience.
There needs to be a truly UNBIASED HR Dept. - one that is not headed by the CEO's wife & employs DE&I protocols - within the company. No one working at Spec is trained &/or certified in HR Management & DE&I. Also, the very apparent pay inequity within the company MUST be fixed. YIKES!
