Squarespace Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Comfortable with salary for Dublin-based roles

Review from Product Dept

Healthcare Benefits, Travel reimbursement, unlimited PTO

Review from Communications Dept

The benefits here are great.

Review from HR Dept

PTO and benefits healthcare etc

Review from HR Dept

Review from HR Dept

Previous success with RSUs. Not sure this will continue with our new options equity strategy

Review from HR Dept

Salary and comp sites are great

Review from Engineering Dept

My base compensation pay is on par with the market

Review from HR Dept

Total rewards package ia rich in every aspect plus unlimited pto

Review from HR Dept

decent base but now that we have no equity and bonus and increase in benefits are not desirable

Review from HR Dept

Compensation is the best part of the comp package

Review from HR Dept

Crystalized RSUs or refresh grants.

Review from HR Dept

I am satisfied with my current base pay and would welcome opportunities for future growth.

Review from Finance Dept

The salary is great, and I love the equity package.

Review from Design Dept

Equity grants and a combination of additional benefits.

Review from Engineering Dept

flexible PTO & contribution to HSA

Review from Operations Dept

Compensation is competitive thus far, we'll se what the private equity package looks like

Review from Engineering Dept

Unlimited PTO, competitive base and RSUs.

Review from Product Dept

Fair salary compared to market

Review from HR Dept

healthcare and dental insurance, salary

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Salary is ok there's is a lacking of paying annual bonus

Review from Engineering Dept

More money, a different structure (like a bonus), and something better than options.

Review from HR Dept

I was lied to about my equity compensation and no one will take accountability or make it right despite my repeated attempts. Being made whole, and accountability for the people who lied and refuse to take accountability, would make me feel better

Review from Engineering Dept

A very clear roadmap of clear career progressions along with corresponding compensation increases. It feels like the work is repetitive and and it's hard to feel motivated to continue a repetitive job without a clear goal to work towards such as defined compensation increases or promotions.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I'm don't feel undervalued. I entered as a mid frontend developer, and it was fare, but I'm seeing my colleagues enter with the same level as me and need help to code and still lots to learn that for the position it should be assumed to have. But yeah as MID I think the salary should be more higher

Review from Engineering Dept

For what we are being asked to do daily I feel 32 to 33k would be more fair.

Review from Customer Success Dept

The pay is low and the company benefits seem to extend to a free Squarespace site.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I am grateful for everything SQSP has to offer. I love my job, this is one of the best places I've worked. Culture is great, teams are wonderful. It really comes down to the hourly wage for my customer facing role not meeting cost of living. Without the income, no personal budget restructure helps.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I guess, as a foundational associate, I could get more than $17/hour. But I'm hoping maybe after I pass my 6 months, it could be increased.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I think the pay should be $20+. We have to learn and manage so much information. I understand budgets but still. This is hard work.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Comp is not competitive with market rate and COL in 2024.

Review from Business Development Dept

It would be helpful to have a recognition and bonus program. I also would like to have known my level before coming in. I think the salary was in market range but would have appreciated having more for total comp.

Review from HR Dept

My base salary is lower than I'd expect even after promotion

Review from Engineering Dept

Have been performing a role that is above my level for a couple of years. Besides that, I am aware that my starting compensation is below average (and within the company), which then contributed to a slower growth than average, regardless of performance.

Review from Engineering Dept

Supporting complex technical issues like we support are usually compensated double the amount in other companies with less pressure on KPIs.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I believe that I deserve a higher base compensation given the increased responsibilities over the past few years.

Review from HR Dept

A more clear path to increases and what it takes to get there - growth trajectory

Review from Operations Dept

I know that I am paid less for my market and role, so pay me more/level me?

Review from HR Dept

More significant merit increases each year.

Review from HR Dept

During negotiations I was not told about NY state tax laws that affect out of state employees. I am being paid relatively the same as my prior job because of this. If I knew this I would negotiated for a higher salary to off-set the NY taxes.
