Mr. Lars Christian Bacher has been an Executive Vice President of Development and Production - International at Statoil ASA since September 1, 2012. Mr. Bacher served as President of Canadian operations at Statoil ASA from December 2009 to October 12, 2012. He oversees the development of Statoil's oilsands operations in Alberta's Athabasca region and exploration and production off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. He has extensive international oil and gas experience , having previously led the restructuring and integration of Statoil's operations on the Norwegian continental shelf. Mr. Bacher also has held several management positions at the Norne and Statfjord fields in the North Sea and was vice-president of its Gullfaks operations.
