What's the interview process like at Stuller inc?
Formally structured & planned, but ultimately a relatively relaxed experience. Depending on position, anywhere from 1 to 3 interviews. Fully online application & position / applicant status process and communication. If you accept an offer, be prepared for background/drug testing and security protocols that rival nuclear power facilities (trust me, I looked into it). Hair Follicle (for new employees AND for random screenings) full criminal background check and credit history review, as well. All due to the types and amounts materials & inventory held throughout the complex. Also, reason for high level of security presence.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Stuller inc?
Top Employee Response
Culture is currently in a slight flux, but in a good way, there's been executive-level awareness of the need for improvements on this front. Process is slow, with speedbump or two but, overall.. headed in right direction. If anything, I'd say leadership may be overcompensating for historically lax approach to accountability (big on seniority and "loyalty"), by going to far towards "black & white" purely objective accountability w/ potential for overly stringent HR related protocols/oversight. Needs to remember that improving toward a more "corporate minded" efficiency is good, but don't lose sight of the fact that we are ultimately still a private enterprise, which in it's own right, has a plethora of cultural/mission-related benefits.
What benefits does Stuller inc provide?
Somewhat "fair" monetary compensation (on left side of bell-curve, higher up, but low end nonetheless). Relatively nice insurance options, as well as standard 50% match (up to 5%) of 401k contributions. Non-typical benefits include, onsite food/beverage dispensaries, onsite medical clinic staffed by nurse & remote facetime access to offsite physician for tele-appts. Top end, workplace security personnel (former military or law enforcement requirement) = one of safest places to work in the area. Employee/Vendor level discounts on most all jewelry products available to our merchants.
