No drug testing. (unless you are seeking a management position, and then yes you will be drug tested). As for background checks, before 7-Eleven bought out the company, they did discretionary checks (meaning every location can run one if they want but do not have to), however, after the buyout, I believe it is mandatory for all applicants to have a check ran on them. Depends on the location I believe. I didn't have to do either when I started but I've heard that the store I worked at does drug tests now. No clue about the background check. I've never heard of any of the locations near me doing them.
