What does the leadership team need to get better at?
They're more interested in $$ for leadership than they are in employee satisfaction or patient safety.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Nurse patient ratios and the structural environment needs to be changed to foster team work and an ongoing learning environment.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Last year they changed our benefits and now we pay very high deductibles and copay. It has not changed for next year.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
We are so isolated that we can't work as a team. It used to be fun to go to work. Now that we are in a new building, we all dread coming to work now. We need more nurses to keep things safe and we need to reconfigure our work environment to make it so that we can work together.
