Brent J. Rhymes — Executive Vice President of Enterprise Sales & Marketing at Synacor

Mr. Brent J. Rhymes has been Executive Vice President of Enterprise Sales & Marketing at Synacor, Inc. since October 3, 2015. Mr. Rhymes served as the President of Worldwide Field Operations at Zimbra, Inc. (Telligent Systems, Inc.) and served as its Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Rhymes was responsible for the operational and strategic leadership of Telligent's product strategy, strategic partnerships, worldwide sales and marketing. He has more than 20 years of proven experience in envisioning, planning, building and launching successful software products and companies that are grounded on business and customer value. Mr. Rhymes served as Chief Executive Officer and President of iWave Software, LLC. Mr. Rhymes served as General Manager of iWave Division and Vice President of NEON Systems Inc. since June 2001. Prior to joining NEON, he served as Vice President of Enablement Services at NetIQ Corporation from July 2000 to May 2001 and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Software Realization, Inc. from March of 1997 to July of 2000. He co-founded two successful technology startup companies, Knoxville-based FileKeeper, Inc. and Houston-based Gapware Solutions Corp. Mr. Rhymes has also held senior executive positions at NetIQ, NEON Systems and Scalable Software, as well as sales and management positions at Microsoft Corp., IBM and Exxon Company USA. Mr. Rhymes has more than 16 years of direct industry experience in Senior Management, Sales and Marketing. Mr. Rhymes has held numerous managerial and technical positions at leading companies including IBM from 1994 to 1997, Microsoft and Exxon. He served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at FileKeeper, Inc. Mr. Rhymes holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee.
