Mr. Ronald N. Frankel, also known as Ron, served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Synacor, Inc. since April 2001 until August 4, 2014 and also served as its company advisor since August 4, 2014. Mr. Frankel co-founded Perks.com Inc. in 1998 and served as its Chief Executive Officer. His expertise includes 17 years in senior management, product marketing and technology. Before creating Perks, he formed Metro Goldwyn Mayer Inc.'s interactive division and MGM Interactive Inc., where he served as its President. Prior to joining MGM, Mr. Frankel was the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Kenfil Distribution, a publicly traded corporation and the largest distributor of entertainment and productivity software in the United States. Mr. Frankel served as the Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President of Marketing & Sales of Softview Inc. He served as a Vice President of Finance and Administration for Natural Nectar Corp. He served as a Director of Synacor, Inc. from April 2001 to August 25, 2014. Mr. Frankel holds a Juris Doctor degree in Corporate Finance and Technology from the University of Southern California Law Center. He studied International Relations and Computer Sciences at the University of California at Berkeley.
