Joseph E. McNeely — President of the Rail Group at The Andersons

Mr. Joseph E. McNeely, also known as Joe, has been President of the Rail Group at The Andersons, Inc. since December 29, 2017. Mr. McNeely served as the Chief Executive Officer of FreightCar America, Inc. from October 04, 2013 to July 31, 2017 and served as its President from May 1, 2013 to July 31, 2017. Mr. McNeely served as Chief Financial Officer, Interim Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of FreightCar America, Inc. since January 22, 2016 until February 29, 2016. He served as Chief Operating Officer from May 1, 2013 to October 04, 2013 at FreightCar America, Inc. He served as the Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at FreightCar America Inc. from September 13, 2010 to May 1, 2013 and served as its Principal Accounting Officer until December 4, 2012. Mr. McNeely has established relationships with many of FreightCar America's valued partners. He has 25 years experience in finance and accounting and has spent the last 10 years in the railcar industry. He served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Mitsui Rail Capital, LLC (Mitsui), a subsidiary of Mitsui and Co., Ltd. that is engaged in the leasing of rail equipment. From 2007 to 2010, his responsibilities at Mitsui included business development, sales management and organizational management. From 2001 to 2007, he served as Vice President of Finance at GATX Rail, a subsidiary of GATX Corporation that was engaged in the leasing, operation and management of rail assets. He served as a Vice President of Finance and IT for GATX Terminals Corporation. During his time at GATX Rail, Mr. McNeely was the primary financial officer for the division and his role included all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting and compliance and strategic planning. He served as a Director of FreightCar America, Inc. from October 04, 2013 to July 31, 2017.
