Thomas G. Pareigat — Senior Vice President and General Counsel at The Bancorp

Mr. Thomas G. Pareigat, Tom has been General Legal Counsel and Senior Vice President at The Bancorp, Inc. since February 2011. Mr. Pareigat served as Vice President, Director of Compliance and Corporate Counsel within the Compliance Risk Management division of Marshall BankFirst Corp. He was responsible for implementing an enterprise-wide compliance risk management program of Marshall Bankfirst Corp. He also provided day-to-day support to Marshall Bankfirst 's bank and non-bank affiliates on legal, regulatory and risk-related matters. He has more than 15 years of experience in the legal and regulatory field. He was a Partner in the Minneapolis office of Lindquist & Vennum, P.L.L.P. where he was a member of the Financial Institutions practice group. He advised on a full range of regulatory matters and guided clients during the development and delivery of new products and services. He also represented clients during the regulatory enforcement process. His prior experience also includes serving as Senior Counsel at Marquette Bancshares in Minneapolis. From 2005 to 2007, he served as Senior Vice President and Regulatory Counsel for Marshall BankFirst Corporation. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Pareigat was Vice President and Corporate Counsel for Marquette Bancshares, Inc. He served as a Senior Attorney at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services (formerly, Bankers Systems, Inc.) from 1989 to 2001. He has served as a faculty member at numerous national and state banking industry events, including the American Bankers Association National Regulatory Compliance Conference and the Minnesota Bankers Association Compliance School. He has been a licensed attorney in the state of Minnesota since 1984. He holds a juris doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois and a bachelor's degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
