Joan Solotar — Senior Managing Director and Head of Private Wealth Solutions & External Relations at The Blackstone Group

Ms. Joan Solotar serves as Senior Managing Director and Head of Private Wealth Solutions & External Relations at The Blackstone Group L.P and served as its Head of the External Relations & Strategy Group and Head of Multi-Asset Investing & External Relations. Ms. Solotar served as Head of the Public Markets Group at The Blackstone Group. Ms. Solotar served as Head of Private Wealth Solutions & External Relations at The Blackstone Group L.P Ms. Solotar is responsible for managing Blackstone's relationships with its public investors, industry analysts and the general investment community. She guides the Blackstone's on analyzing strategic development opportunities and advises Blackstone fund portfolio companies on their positioning in the public equity markets. She served as Senior Managing Director of Public Markets at The Blackstone Group since June 2007. She served as an Associate Director of for Banc of America Securities LLC. Prior to joining Blackstone in 2007, Ms. Solotar served as Managing Director and Director of Equity Research at Banc of America Securities. She served as an Equity Analyst at Cr???dit Suisse AG, Research Division (Also called as Cr???dit Suisse First Boston, Inc.), Research Division. She started her career in equity research at The First Boston Corporation in 1986 and prior to joining Bank of America was part of the financial services team at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp., Research Division and later with CSFB as a Managing Director. She served as Equity Analyst of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp., Research Division. She served as Head of Equity Research of Bank of America Corporation since March 2006. Ms. Solotar joined the Bank of America Corp. (de) in 2003 and served as Associate Director, Equity Research and in this role she contributed significantly to the growth of Bank of America's Equity Research team and the quality of the research product. Ms. Solotar has more than a decade of experience covering financial services stocks and was recognized as a member of Institutional Investor's All- America research in the Brokerage and Asset Management sector from 1995 to 2002. She serves on the Board of Directors of the East Harlem Tutorial Program. She served as Chairperson of the Research Committee for the Securities Industry Association from 2001 to 2002. Ms. Solotar received a BS in Management Information Systems from the State University of New York at Albany and an MBA in Finance from NYU.
