Ms. Sandra P. Kapell has been Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Vice President of The Madison Square Garden Company since January 2016. Ms. Kapell served as Executive Vice President of Administration and Human Resources at Cablevision Systems Corporation since September 2012. Ms. Kapell is responsible for The Madison Square Garden Company's human resources and administrative functions. Ms. Kapell was responsible for the development and execution of enterprise-wide human resources strategies. Ms. Kapell leads the human resources and administrative areas of Cablevision, providing leadership in the design and implementation of policies and practices. Specifically, she oversees general human resources, talent staffing and recruitment, employee training, development and growth as well as executive compensation and recruiting. She has been Global Head of Talent Strategy and Performance Systems and Vice President of American International Group, Inc. since February 2010. Ms. Kapell oversees talent management, development and training, including recruiting, succession planning and performance management. She is also be responsible for developing human resources systems to identify, measure and track the progress of human capital programs. She served as Chief Operating Officer/Director of Human Resources at Westport Resources Investment Services. She served as Global Head of Administration and Strategy at Futures International. Ms. Kapell served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Chartis, where she worked on a number of initiatives including the recruitment of several key executives, the implementation of the first-ever succession planning process for the board of directors and the launch of the management development curriculum. Throughout her career, Sandy has focused on creating work environments that drive business results by increasing accountability while still encouraging people to have fun at work. Ms. Kapell served as Senior Vice President at MetLife, leading the Practice Development Group. During her six years at MetLife and her extensive experience in HR roles at other financial services companies, Ms. Kapell has designed and implemented talent development and performance management programs that drive measurable business results. She received her Masters in education from Columbia University and her Bachelors in English from the University of Washington.
