Mr. Syed Jafry has been President of Regions at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. since September 2017. Mr. Jafry started his career at Glaxo Pharmaceuticals in the U.K. He served for 18 years at General Electric, where he held commercial, product management and general management roles in the U.S., the Netherlands, Switzerland and China. He joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in March 2005 as General Manager and Vice President of Air Quality Instruments. Since October 2009, he served as Senior Vice President of Customer and Commercial Excellence. Since 2010, he served as President of Thermo Fisher's Asian operations and Senior Vice President for Customer Excellence. He holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, a master's certificate in marketing and management from Harvard University Extension School and a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Lahore University in Pakistan.
