Executive Bio

Mr. Christopher A. Coughlin, also known as Chris, has been Executive Vice President and Group President of The Timken Company since 2014 and September 1, 2012 respectively. Mr. Coughlin is responsible for the Timken Company's three business segments, the Mobile Industries business; the Process Industries segment and the Aerospace segment and also has corporate-wide responsibilities for quality assurance and advancement activities. In 2010, Mr. Coughlin became President of Process Industries and Supply Chain. He also was responsible for distribution and global supply chain management for the Bearings and Power Transmission Group as well as for the company's global purchasing organization. In 2004, he was named to lead a multiyear initiative to streamline business processes and implement an enterprise resource planning system. He previously was based in Colmar, France, where he held a variety of management positions including Vice President - Industrial Equipment, Vice President ??? Process Industries and Vice President ??? Primary Metals. Mr. Coughlin began his Timken career in 1984 in the company's steel operations. He served as Group President of QM Bearings and Power Transmission, Inc. He also served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Project O.N.E., a multiyear initiative to streamline business processes and implement an enterprise SAP-based resource planning system. Mr. Coughlin serves on the board of directors of the American Bearing Manufacturers Association and the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University.
