Service levels to external partners

As a colleague commented, it's basically a retirement home. Lots of people have been there for too long, there are few opportunities for career progression (even if you receive high ratings in performance reviews)

Medical insurance is really good

Great company and people A lot of complexity and change It would be manageable if bonuses were paid (recent layoffs /freeze salaries)

As much as I enjoy the industry, I can't say that I enjoy Travelport. We are far behind the other GDSs, the COVID impacts hurt - now they are looking at another IPO later this year. Each change in ownership and capital structure brings about change for the sake of change - not a good place to work

  • Travelport tries hard to go through the motions of innovation. However, generally they fail. In the two years I’ve worked there thy have gone through at lest two company wide reorganization with many more department reorganizations sprinkled in, in the persuit of innovation. However, I’ve never seen it succeed. Meanwhile, they cut teams that had worked hard to push fresh and innovative perspectives.

    I was most excited about assisting in an Agile transformation, however, that seems to have stalled. There have been a lot of changes and most of the good ideas we've had seem to get lost in the mix of all the changes.
