How are the career growth opportunities on the Sales team at Tripp Lite?
There are no career growth opportunities.
What makes you the most proud about working at Tripp Lite?
I'm embarrassed that I work for my company.
What perk or benefit should Tripp Lite have?
401K match, it's freaking 2020 not 1800.
What kind of people does Tripp Lite like to hire?
inexperienced people with very low motivation and work ethic
What is Tripp Lite's policy towards pets in the workplace?
None. These people are super old, they probably don't even have dogs.
What is the daily attire at Tripp Lite?
LOL what a joke. Never been associated with a company (in the midwest USA) that allows it's employees to wear shorts, hats, and sweats to work. Everyone looks like a bum and there are no attractive people at the entire company. They all block-o-more's. Only look good from a block or more...
How are layoffs handled in the Sales department at Tripp Lite?
They claim no layoffs, but I'm not sure if that's different than fired cause my manager just got got.
What kind of interview questions do they ask when hiring someone in the Sales department at Tripp Lite?
They ask the standard sales interview questions, but the actual role consists of sending bids to the bid team then sending them to your customer. The admins all perform these actions already anyways so you really do nothing in sales at this company. Super easy job for a high school graduate.
What's the work from home policy like at Tripp Lite?
None. This company is still in the 1800's.
How often do promotions happen at Tripp Lite?
Hardly ever. More time is spent filling open positions. Currently 30 open positions with my manager's being on there for a few months now. LOL
What do you wish you knew before starting at Tripp Lite?
How toxic the work culture was going to be and how incredibly inefficient the sales team is and the lack of any resources or tools to be a successful sales team.
What is the hardest interview question Tripp Lite asks?
None, they still make you take a Wonderlic test from the 1800's to make sure that you can wipe your ass after you poop.
What are company outings like at Tripp Lite?
They are painfully bad and unwelcoming. Everyone is already in their cliques and they don't reach out to (co-worker) strangers. Keep in mind everyone has been here for 30 years.
What is the company mobility like at Tripp Lite?
I don't even understand what this question is supposed to mean. You'd have to clarify.
How's the leadership on the Sales team at Tripp Lite?
Terrible. They keep firing sales managers because leadership is inept. They just fired the inside channel sales manager for not performing. He had no sales management experience. LOL. They just hired another channel sales manager who's background is - selling textbooks to schools and also has no sales management experience (I've been in sales for over 10 years).
How flexible is your work schedule at Tripp Lite?
no flexibility at all
How are the healthcare options at Tripp Lite?
Super expensive compared to CDW
What does the ideal candidate in the Sales department look like at Tripp Lite?
No motivation, no work ethic, fake calls, keep your head down, and you'll never get fired. You can literally watch Youtube all day.
What is the onboarding process like at Tripp Lite and how long does it last?
1 week of product training and then nothing. No on the job training, sales training, shadows, nothing.
How does Tripp Lite measure success and growth in the Sales department?
10% Growth YOY for every customer
