The following applies to the Stealth 520 on the original PS4 (2013) and PS4 Pro.
If you find that the Chat Volume Control on the Stealth 520 headset adjusts all volume (both game and chat audio) and the Game Volume Control doesn't work, then the PS4 settings may not be configured correctly. To ensure proper setup, please check the following:
1. Go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Audio Output Settings > Primary Output Port > Digital Out (OPTICAL)
2. Select Dolby Digital 5.1ch ONLY (Do not select DTS 5.1ch).
3. Go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Audio Output Settings > Audio Format (Priority)
4. Select Bitstream (Dolby).
5. Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices
Select USB Headset (Turtle Beach Stealth 520 Chat) for Input & Output Devices
Set Volume Control (Headphones) to the maximum level.
Set Output to Headphones to Chat Audio <---- *IMPORTANT*
You should now be able to hear game audio through the headset and adjust game volume independently with the headset's Game Volume Control.
If the volume controls still aren't working correctly, please contact our Support Team for assistance.
Q. Why does game audio still play through my TV when the Stealth 520 is connected?
A. The PS4 allows audio output via optical and HDMI simultaneously. It cannot be disabled, so you can mute your TV to prevent this from happening. Please note that this does not apply to audio via USB. If you select 'All' for 'Output to Headphones', the PS4 will begin to send all audio via the USB port and audio will stop playing through your TV. However, this will cause the Chat Volume Control on the Stealth 520 headset to adjust all volume, so it is not recommended.

Improved Bluetooth volume control. Fix for incorrect battery level reporting on some phones
View ArticleMAINTENANCE:
Headsets should be treated with care like any other piece of electronic equipment.
Wired headphones that have long cords: Make sure that you untangle the cable occasionally before the twisting breaks or shorts the internal wiring. Avoid resting your headset with its cords on top of units that generate heat. Consoles are known to generate and dissipate unusually high levels of heat, which is why some users had to use external fans. The heat degrades the cable plastic resulting in twisting and eventual exposure of the internal wiring. Wrapping the cable around the headset and resting it over a console is a recipe for product malfunction due to cord failure. Do not fold the wire over multiple times and pinch it with wire ties. Cables have "memory" too. The simple solution is to loop the cable gently in circles, but not too tightly. Be careful not to fold or pinch the cable, as this can stress the cable and result in breakage of the internal wiring.
Getting excited while playing may result in pulled cables. When transporting your headset, always disconnect the cables; this will prevent a controller jack from becoming loose and a plug from snapping inside a controller. We are not responsible if this happens to a controller.
Avoid lying down or falling asleep while wearing your headset. Pressure against the headband, even from a pillow, might weaken and eventually break the headband. Also, be careful when storing a headset, especially mobile items, in a backpack with other articles.
To avoid risk of electric shock, do not open any components. There are no user-serviceable parts inside and doing so will void the product Warranty.
To clean your Turtle Beach headset, only use a dry cloth or slightly damp cloth. Cleaning solutions may damage your headset. To remove dust, which may cause poor connections, static, etc. you might need to clean the jacks where your RCA cables or Talkback Cable are plugged in with a Q-tip (cotton swab) or with an air duster spray can. Keep any USB ports free of dust, as well.
To help prevent damage to your Turtle Beach headset, store it in a dry location where there is no risk of heavy items falling on it. Do not leave your headset or any accessories in a location where people or pets might accidentally trip over them. Do not sit on or step on your headset, and take care not to accidentally drop it on the floor.
To prevent your cords from getting chewed by pets, you may put white vinegar on them as suggested in this article: http://www.odordestroyer.com/newsblog/how-to-stop-dogs-from-chewing-32/
If your headset has removable ear cushions and you want to try to clean them yourself, here's how to go about it:
Remove the pads.
Soak the pads in a bowl of lukewarm water.
Squirt a small drop of shampoo onto the pads.
Work in the shampoo with your fingers until it has penetrated into the foam.
After you've given the pads a good cleaning, rinse them with plenty of cold water, and give them a good squeeze to make sure all the suds are rinsed out.
Squeeze the pads between a towel to get most of the moisture out.
Loosely tie a piece of string around the pads and then hang them out in the fresh air to dry.
To get rid of hairs and debris on the pads, you can use some Scotch Tape or a pet hair collector to remove it.
BUILT-IN RECHARGEABLE BATTERY MAINTENANCE:
Always charge your headset before storing it for any extended period of time (greater than 3 months). Never store the unit in temperatures above 113F/45C.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
Be careful when turning up the headphone volume control. Before placing the headphones over your ears, set the volume control to minimum, and then slowly increase until you reach a comfortable level.
Do not overdrive the headphones. Like any speakers, playing the sound too loudly on the headphones can cause damage to both the headphones and your ears. Please account for the fact that in gaming, sudden loud explosions may happen unexpectedly, so take care to listen at moderate levels.
Friendly Warning: Long-term exposure to loud music or other sounds in headphones may cause temporary or permanent hearing loss. Avoid extreme volume levels when using headphones, especially for extended periods. Over time, your ears adapt to the volume level, so a level that may not cause initial discomfort might still damage your hearing.

View ArticleThe information in this article applies to all Recon 70 models, including Xbox One/PS4/Nintendo Switch models (in all colors).
This article applies to the Recon 70on a Xbox One Console.
If you're experiencing audio issues with your Recon 70 when it's connected to your Xbox One controller, we recommend testing and verifying the following. If your issue is instead with being heard in chat, please click here.
Before you begin, please note:
Do not plug the Xbox One controller into a USB port on your Xbox One console while the headset is connected to the Xbox One controller. This can cause audio distortion or connection issues. If you're charging your Xbox One controller, we recommend plugging it into a separate Wall USB Adapter, or charging the controller when it's not in use.
1. Connect the headset to a mobile audio device (tablet, smartphone, mp3 player, etc) and play a song or video you're familiar with.If you're able to hear the song/video through the headset clearly, then the headset is working properly and the issue may be with the Xbox One controller.
If you're unable to hear sound through the headset clearly when it's connected to a mobile device, then there may be an issue with the headset itself. In that case, please contact support.
If you can hear the smartphone audio clearly, but are still experiencing audio issues when the Recon 70 is connected to your Xbox One controller, but the controller is not plugged in to charge, continue to Step 2.
2. Please make sure your Xbox One controller is fully updated to the latest firmware, using one of the methods detailed here.
If the issue still persists, please continue to Step 3.
3. Try the following, in order.
Replacing the batteries in your Xbox One controller with brand new, non-rechargeable batteries
Try using a different Xbox One controller (Make sure that different Xbox One controller is updated ).
Replace the Xbox One Headset Adapter (if you're using an older Xbox One controller with an adapter).
Restart your Xbox One: If your profile automatically signs in, sign out and sign back in when the console powers back on.
If these steps did not resolve the issue, continue to Step 4.
4. Try using the standard Xbox One Headset included with the console to see if you have the same issue. If so, please contact Microsoft. If you do not have the same issues with that standard headset, contact support.
View ArticlePC-Compatible Turtle Beach headsets with USB amplifiers/transmitters do not require separate USB drivers provided by Turtle Beach to function on a PC.
If the headset uses a USB connection for audio output/input, generic USB drivers for the headset should install automatically. This may take a few minutes; after those drivers are installed, the headset will be available for use in the Sound Settings.
If the headset uses a USB connection for power only (or connects solely to a headset jack), no drivers will install when the headset is connected. The headset will not be recognized or listed as an individual audio device. Instead, your headset will be listed under the jack/port it is connected to, as, in this case, your PC will only detect that a device is plugged into the headset jack.
Please reference the table below to see if your headset uses the USB only for power/ uses analog connections onlyin which case, no drivers will installor if your headset receives audio through USBin which case, generic drivers will install. As an extra test, raise the mic monitor volume level with the lower dial on the headset. Then, flip the mic forward, and speak into the mic. Can you hear yourself through the headset when you speak into the mic?
If you can hear yourself through the headset when you speak into the mic, the mic itself is working well.
If you cannot hear your voice clearly, please contact ourSupport Team.
2. The PS4/PS4 Pro Chat Settings are Configured
If you are able to hear yourself through the headset when you speak into the mic, then the mic itself is working properly, but the settings on your console may not be configured for headset use.

View ArticleFor some wired headsets, a diagnostic test performed with a device other than your controller/console (like a smartphone) is a great way to test if the issue is with the headset itself. (Please note:Some smartphone models, however, do not have 3.5mm headset jacks. If your smartphone does not have a 3.5mm headset jack, you may need to use a different device to perform that test.)
Below is a list of compatible devices to test the headset with, as well as instructions on how to perform the test.
The test can be performed on the following devices with a 3.5mm headset jack:
iPhone
Android Phone
iPad
Android Tablet
Windows PC
Mac Computer
The first part of the test is to play music and see if the speakers have any distortion. This will help to test any issues with the incoming audio. Please use your favorite music app on any of the above listed devices to see if it plays properly.
Once you have done so, please follow along below to test the mic.
Belowarewaysto test the mic on each device:
iPhone and iPadOnce the headsetisconnected to youriPhone or iPad, please follow the link below to use Voice Memos to test your mic and record a message of yourselfand listen to it.
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206775
You can also make a Facetime call, as well as a phone call to test.Make sure the device in question is kept covered or in a pocket -- this will help to ensure that the mic on the headset is the mic that picks up the sound, not the mic on the device itself.
Android Phone and TabletOn your android phone or tablet, there may be an initial voice record or voice memo app installedby the manufacturer.
Thatvoice memo/recorder appcan be used to test the mic while the headset is plugged into the phone by recording your voice and playing it back to yourself.
If you do not have a Voice memo apppre-installed, you can use a chat application such as Skype or Discordto chat with a friend, orto play your mic back to yourselfas a test
A phone call would also be a proper test to perform if you are able tomake oneon your device.Again, make sure the device in question is kept covered or in a pocket -- this will help to ensure that the mic on the headset is the mic that picks up the sound, not the mic on the device itself.
Windows PC Your PC can be used to test both the mic and speakers, but some computers may require the use of an adapter to properly use a single jacked headset.
If your computer has green and pink ports for the audio, those are separate mic and speaker ports, and you will not be able to properly test the headsetunless you have a PC splitter cable.
If you have a single port for your headset, please plug the headset in, and type “Voice Recorder” into the search bar.
Make sure that the headset is set as the default device in the computer. Then, please open that app and record yourself, then play it back to see if you can hear the recording properly.
MacYou can use the “Voice Memos” app for the test.
With your headset plugged in and set as the default device, please follow the link below to test the headset and play your recording back to yourself.

All Turtle Beach products are protected by the manufacturer's warranty for one year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser (the "warranty period").Refurbished/recertified products are sold at a reduced price with a 90-day Warranty period.
The warranty covers components that have failed because of manufacturing defects. The warranty offers repair/replacement of any defective components of the product during the warranty period and not a refund, exchange, or upgrade. User errors, accidents, or acts of God are not covered by the warranty. If the item was abused, handled improperly, dropped, stepped on, chewed on by a dog, etc., the damage is NOT covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Products purchased in different countries are serviced by a local international distributor of Turtle Beach products. If a product was purchased and shipped in the USA but afterward was taken to another country, our responsibility is to ship only to the original USA address.
The replaced item will remain protected by the warranty for the original warranty period. Receiving a repaired or replaced item through this service does not extend or refresh the warranty period. The same applies if you purchase replacement components for the same product.

Replacement parts for discontinued products are sold on an AS IS basis. They come with a thirty (30) day warranty period.

The RMA repair/replacement process will be completed within 10-14 business days from the day we receive the defective item at our facility.

Then, plug the headset into the computer. Make sure the headset's cable is plugged securely into the headset itself. (For more information, please click here.)
If your computer has separate jacks, one each for headset audio and mic audio, you'll need to use the included PC Splitter Cable to connect the headset into your computer, as shown below.
Make sure that the mic is not muted. If the mic is muted, there will be a red line visible on the in-line controls. If there is no visible red line on the in-line controls, the mic is unmuted; proceed to the next step.
2. Mic/Headset are Set As Default Device
With the headset connected to the computer, check that the headset/mic are set as the default Playback and Recording devices.
Right-click the speaker icon on the bottom-right of the screen. On Windows 10, select "Open Sound Settings"; otherwise, click "Recording Devices".
In these screens, you'll be able to select the headset and mic as the default device; this means the computer will use the headset and mic for the audio.
PLEASE NOTE: The headset/mic will not appear in the list of available devices as "Elite Atlas". Instead, the headset will appear as the jack that the headset itself is plugged into. In the screenshots below, the headset appears as "Speakers (Realtek High Definintion Audio", and the mic itself appears as "Microphone Array (Realtek High Definition Audio)".
You should be able to gently tap the mic and see activity in the bar under "Test your Microphone".
If you see that activity showing in the test bar, your mic has successfully been set as the default device. Continue to Step 3.
3. Test Recording
In Windows 10, click the start Menu and open Voice Recorder. With the mic and headset set as the default device, click the Record button, and record yourself talking into the mic, or gently tapping on the mic.
Then, click the play button to play back that test recording you made. You should be able to hear what you had recorded clearly.
Otherwise, select "Sound Recorder", and click the "Start Recording" button.
Record yourself talking into the mic, or gently tapping on the mic. Then, click "Stop Recording", and save the recording to your Desktop.
Open the recording, and play it back. You should be able to hear what you had recorded clearly.
If you could hear the recording clearly, the computer itself is picking up the sound. Continue to Step 3.
If you could not hear the recording clearly, but the mic is securely plugged in to the headset, is not muted, and both the headset and mic are set as the default device, .
3. Program-Specific Settings
If you are having issues with specific apps like Discord, Skype, or TeamSpeak, you'll want to make sure that the mic and headset are set as the default devices for not only the computer's sound settings, but also for the program's sound settings as well. The individual screens and processes for this will vary from program to program, but essentially, you'll want to go into the settings for the program, and make sure that the mic and headset are showing as the chosen default device.
View ArticleIf you experience a decrease in volume when using that Chat path while using your Elite Atlas Aero headset, please do the following to assure you have the proper Windows communication settings:

2. In the Sound Settings menu, click onSound Control Panel.
3. In the Sound Control Panel, select the Communications tab. You'll see the following screen.
Select “Do nothing”, then click "Apply" to be sure it is saved, and "OK" to exit the Sound Control Panel.

Audio Issues
Echoing (Other people in chat can hear themselves echoing)
To avoid echoing in the party chat, please do the following.
1. Headset/Mic Are Connected Securely
Make sure to set the headset up as shown below:
support team
SUPERAMP CONNECTIONS:
The headset's main cable ends are not interchangeable. The plug with three black stripes should be plugged into the audio jack on the front of the SuperAmp.
This jack will have an icon of a headset above it. If the headset's cable is plugged into the jack with the word "Out" above it (located on the back of the SuperAmp), the headset is plugged into the wrong jack. The jack with the word "Out" above it is the Stream Out jack.
The headset would need to be plugged into the "Headset" jack in order to hear the game and chat audio.
HEADSET CONNECTIONS
The headset's main cable ends are not interchangeable. The plug with four black stripes should be plugged into the headset jack on the headset itself. Like the SuperAmp, this jack will have an icon of a headset just above it.
Make sure to fully insert the cable into the jack on the headset. It is a snug fit, and you should feel the plug slide into place twice. The cable is not fully inserted/plugged in until the plug slides into place the second time. An easy way to check if your headset cable is plugged in all the way is to make sure that the headset and mic icons (located on the headset and mic boom, respectively) are lined up with each other.
2. Lower The Volume, Adjust Game/Chat Balance
If the volume is set too high, there may be some echoing in the game chat. Lowering the volume can help to avoid echoing. To lower the volume, move the dial on the SuperAmp itself counter-clockwise.
In addition, make sure the Game/Chat balance is set more in favor of the game. In the Turtle Beach Audio Hub, adjust the Game/Chat balance slider until there is no echo. An image of the slider in question is shown below:
If you are still having issues with echoing in the Party chat, please contact our .

4. Connect the USB Programming Cable to the headset, but do not connect it to your PC just yet.
5. While holding the PRESET button on the right earcup of the headset, connect the USB Programming cable to a USB port on your PC. Be sure to hold the PRESET button while plugging in the cable at the same time. This causes the headset to go into bootloader mode.
Note: Wait until Windows has completed installing any drivers.
6. Connect the Transmitter to your PC using the USB Transmitter Cable.
NOTE: make sure to plug the USB Transmitter Cable into the 'PROGRAM ONLY' port on the transmitter.
7. After the device has loaded, you will see a prompt to update the firmware. Click 'Yes'.

View ArticleIf you can hear game audio through the Stealth 420X+ headset but the microphone isn't working, please check the following:
1. The Mic Boom is Connected Correctly
The Mic Boom must be plugged into the Mic Boom Jack on the Left Earcup of the Headset. The Left Earcup does not have any buttons or controls; all functional buttons are on the Right Earcup. The 3.5mm jack on the Right Earcup may be mistaken for the Mic Boom Jack; however, that is the Mobile Connection jack intended for use with the included Mobile Cable.

2. The Mic Boom is Plugged Fully into the Mic Boom Jack
After checking that the mic boom is plugged into the correct jack, make sure the mic is plugged fully into the Mic Boom Jack. Disconnect the mic boom by pulling it straight out and plug it back in, making sure to plug it in until you hear a "click". This may take a couple of tries.
3. The Xbox One Recognizes the Headset
If you are able to hear yourself through the headset when you speak into the mic, then the mic boom itself is working properly but your Xbox One may not be detecting the headset properly. The best way to rule this out is a quick power cycle:
1. Power off the headset and disconnect the transmitter from the Xbox One.
2. Power off the Xbox One and unplug the power supply/cable. Leave it for 1 minute.
3. Plug the Xbox One Console power supply/cable back in and power the Xbox One Console on.
4. If you are automatically logged in when startup is complete, log out and then log back in again.
5. Plug the transmitter into your Xbox One and power the headset on.
6. A notification should appear on the Xbox One menu indicating that a headset device was connected.
If the microphone still isn't working, please contact our support team:

View ArticlePlease note that Replacement Parts are not available in Retail stores. They are only available directly from us and through our International Distributors as listed below:
United States: Turtle Beach Webstore (listed by platform)
Canada: Video Games Plus
For all other Countries please contact our respective Distributors.
For lightweight parts the following shipping options are available: Ground, Expedited, Priority, and USPS First Class (with Tracking).
Because of a big demand (wear & tear) occasionally these items are on Back Order status, so it is a good practice to buy a couple at a time and save on shipping too. Replacement Parts for new products are usually posted within a month or two after the product release.
Replacement Parts and accessories that are subject to "wear and tear" such as earpads, mic foam covers, talkback cables, etc. have a three (3) month Warranty.Free of charge replacement parts are processed only by our Support staff under Warranty based on the purchase date. Cables that are permanently connected to a headset are not replaceable.
In order to receive a Replacement Part under Warranty free of charge, please click here. These requests are processed in the exact order they are received depending on inventory availability. *Accidents* are not covered. If you need a replacement part urgently, we recommend that you place your order from our Web Site Store. However, you cannot submit an on-line order for a replacement part and afterward request a refund based on Warranty replacement.
NOTE: During the life of a product VTB reserves the right to change the looks and feel of after-sale replacement parts, so they may not be the same as the original ones included in your box.
Wear & Tear:
A typical case scenario is that house pets seem to favor chewing on cables, mics, etc. shorting them out. In fact this issue appears in 'epidemic' numbers, overshadowing all other issues. No kidding here! We are sorry but this is not a manufacturing defect. If a cable is chewed by a pet or accidentally gets caught under a chair or a desk, it is not covered by the Manufacturer's Warranty.
The Talkback (Chat) cable is a lightweight cable designed for comfort and it may not always resist the rigors of use. Gamers who use our headphones extensively may need to change this cable every few months due to normal "wear and tear" . It would make sense to buy a couple at a time (while in stock) and save on shipping charges too.
Discontinued Products:
As a courtesy to our customers, we try to carry replacement parts for one year after the official date that a product was discontinued. Beyond this period we have no obligation to carry replacement parts that are no longer in production, since a product was discontinued. It would be very costly to maintain inventory of such parts and the purchase price for consumers would be too high. Replacement Parts for Discontinued Products are sold on an ASISbasis and come with a 30 day Warranty.
MAINTENANCETIPS:
To prevent failure of the controller cable, please do not tug on it or put any stress on the ends of the cable. Also, be careful not to bend the tip. Always disconnect the Talkback Cable when carrying the product, so that the tip does not snap inside the controller.
To prevent your cords from getting "chewed" you may try putting white vinegar on cables.
Wired Headphones that have long cords should be occasionally untangled, before the repeated twisting breaks or shorts the internal wiring. Do not rest cables on top of units that generate heat. Cables that are permanently attached to a Headset are not replaceable and the entire headset must be replaced.

View ArticleOVERVIEW:
Many of our gaming headsets include a Mic Monitor feature that plays back the sound of your voice in the microphone directly into the headset speakers, with no delay. The idea is that you want to be able to hear yourself a little in the headphones, so you don't wind up shouting into the mic because you think nobody can hear your voice. Since this is an analog signal being fed from the mic directly into the headset speakers, when used with a gaming console there's no delay on the mic monitor.
PROBLEM:
On a PC however, the mic signal goes from the mic into the software (Ventrilo, Skype, etc.), where it is processed and then routed back through the sound card to be played back in the speakers (or the Turtle Beach headset). Depending on the latency of your PC and sound card, the sound of your voice going through the software, CPU and PCI or USB bus may be delayed enough so that it sounds like an echo when you hear it in the headset.
SOLUTION:
In these cases, to hear yourself without echo, the solution is to adjust the Mic Monitor feature on your PC itself. In Windows XP, you may mute the Microphone playback in the Playback section of your sound card mixer. In Windows Vista and Windows 7, there is a setting that will cause echo if it is enabled:
Click Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound.
Go to the "Recording" tab and highlight your headset's microphone. Make sure it is set as the default device. (Right click the microphone or your Turtle Beach USB device and select "Set as Default Device".)
Click the "Properties" button at the bottom, then go to the "Listen" tab.
On the Listen tab, make sure "Listen to this device" is NOT checked! If it is checked, you should uncheck it, then click "Apply".
After you do this, the Mic Monitor will still let you hear your own voice in the headset, but your voice will not echo.

Once the process is complete enroll your headset with your Xbox One. The update process erases the Xbox Wireless connection so it is essential that this step is taken. Detailed Steps available .
Now you are able to adjust some of your Stealth 600 for Xbox One settings.
Mic Monitor - This setting allows you to control how loud you hear yourself in the headset. If this is turned down all the way you will not hear your own voice at all, while if you turn it up all the way you will hear your voice loudly through the headset. When wearing over-ear style headphones this helps prevent you from yelling. If this setting is turned up to the maximum level you may also hear some ambient noise from other sources of sound in your room.
Tones - This setting controls how loud the indication tones you hear in your headset play. These are tones that play when toggling your EQ Presets, Superhuman Hearing, and when Powering On/Off. If this is set to the minimum you will not hear any indication tones.

The following are explanations of each setting:
Voice EQ - Adjust this to change the tone of your voice.
Natural Voice
Deep Voice
Deep and Bright Voice
Mid-Range Voice
Mic Monitor - Adjust this to change how loud you hear yourself in the headphones. If this is turned very high, you may hear ambient background noise from your room.
Optional Polar Pattern - Select one of these polar patterns to add a fifth pattern to your Stream Mic. The Front LED will turn White when this optional pattern is active.
Announcer Effect- Adjust this to add a reverb effect to your voice. This can be used to make your voice sound more natural when using directional polar-patterns.
Clip Indicator - Turn this ON to receive visual indications on the Front LED when you are speaking too loudly into the microphone. The Front LED will flash Red if you overload the Mic by speaking too loudly or too closely.
LED Blackout Mode - Turn this ON to turn off the Front LED. The Front LED will still turn on briefly when changing settings or when the Clip Indicator is active. Alternatively, this setting can be turned on/off by holding down both the Polar Pattern and Mic Mute Buttons at the same time for 5 seconds.
Automatic Noise Gate - Turn this ON and the Stream Mic will only transmit Mic audio when you are speaking; ambient/background noise in your room will not be recorded. This can sometimes sound unnatural, so experiment with this setting on and off.
Note: The Turtle Beach Stream Mic is designed to be tuned with the Turtle BeachAudio Hub. Using additional software is not recommended. Due to how Audio Compressors/Equalizers work, additional processing in the form of third party software (such as freeware like Voicemeeter) can result in a negative effect on audio quality.

In some cases, the Stream Mic may not be recognized by the Turtle BeachAudio Hub. First, make sure your Stream Mic is in Xbox Mode, then select the link in the bottom right corner of the Turtle BeachAudio Hub Window to download the Turtle Beach WinUSB Driver.

View ArticleIf your headset is experiencing any of the following symptoms, please review the instructions below:
SuperAmp volume control has no effect
Center ("Palm Tree") logo is always red
You can't be heard in chat
If you are experience any of the above, it's possible the headset is not set up correctly. If you are having the above issues, please confirm the following to ensure that the headset is set up properly.
Make sure the headset is set up as shown below.
NOTES:
The headset's main cable should be connected to the "Headset" jack in the front of the SuperAmp.
The headset's main cable ends are not interchangeable. The plug with three black stripes should be plugged into the Headset jack on the front of the SuperAmp. The plug with four black stripes should be plugged into the headset jack on the headset itself. Both of these jacks -- on the SuperAmp and the headset itself -- will have icons of a headset just above them.
The mic should be plugged into the mic jack on the headset itself. This jack will have the image of a mic just above it.
The mic mute on the headset's main cable will have a red line showing when the mic is muted. If you can see that red line, the mic is muted; move the mic mute switch so that you cannot see that red line. The mic will be unmuted, and you should be able to be heard.
View ArticleIf other players are unable to hear you in Xbox Live chat on your Xbox One Console, please check the following:
1. The Mic Boom Isn't Loose in the Mic Boom Jack.
First, unplug the headset from the Xbox One Controller. Then, disconnect the mic boom by pulling it straight out of the headset and plug the mic boom back in, making sure you hear a 'click' indicating that the mic boom is connected securely. (This may take a couple of tries; if you are having difficulty plugging the mic boom back in, note the metal key alignment.) Finally, plug the headset back into the Xbox One Controller and try to use it in chat.
2. The Headset Works With Another Device
If the headset's mic still isn't working, plug the headset into a mobile phone and try making a call. Make sure the mobile phone itself is covered, to better ensure that the phone's internal mics do not pick up the sound instead of the headset's mic. If the other person was not able to hear you during that test call, continue to Step 3. If the other person was able to hear you during that test call, then the microphone itself is working properly; skip to Step 4.
3. The Mic Boom Is Working Properly
To make sure the mic boom itself is functioning, you can connect it directly to a Microphone jack on a PC and perform a recording test:
1) Disconnect the mic boom from the headset and plug it into the Microphone/Line In Jack on your PC.
2) In Windows, right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and click 'Recording Devices'.
Contact Support
3) Right click the Microphone/Line In input that the mic boom is plugged into. If you do not see a green check next to the device, click 'Set as Default'. When it's the default device, click 'Properties'.
4) Click the 'Levels' tab. Move the 'Microphone' and 'Microphone Boost' levels to halfway (or close to that). Then click 'OK'.
5) On the Sound Settings screen, click the 'Playback' tab and make sure your Computer speakers are enabled so you can hear audio playback.
6) Open the Windows Sound Recorder by going to Start > Accessories > Sound Recorder or search for 'Sound Recorder'.
7) Start recording, then say something or snap your fingers near the mic boom. Click 'Stop Recording', then you'll be prompted to save the file.
8) Save the file to your Desktop or another convenient folder.
9) Double click the file to open it with your media player, then listen for the sound you recorded previously.
If you were unable to hear any sound in the recording, then the mic boom will need to be replaced. If you were able to hear the sound you recorded but the mic wasn't working during the mobile phone test, then there may be an issue with the headset itself. Please contact our Support Team for additional assistance.
4. The Xbox One Console and Xbox One Controller are Functioning Properly
Occasionally, you may lose chat due to a console or network error. First, try checking to see if there is an update available for the console. If there is an update available, try updating the console, and then test the headset again.
If there is no available update, try power cycling the Xbox One. To power cycle the console, please do the following:
Disconnect the headset from the Xbox One Controller.
Shut down the Xbox One console and disconnect the Xbox One power cable. Leave the console unplugged for a minute.
Plug the Xbox One power cable back in and power on the console.
After the console has completed start-up, log into your Xbox Live account.
NOTE: If Instant Sign-In is enabled on your Xbox One, log out of your Xbox Live account and then log back in.
Plug the headset back into the Xbox One Controller.
Any errors with the Xbox One console should no longer be present. The microphone should now be functioning properly.
5. Xbox Live Gold Membership is Active and Settings Are Configured Correctly
If a power cycle did not resolve the issue, make sure your Xbox One and headset are enabled for online chat. To quickly determine if the settings are configured correctly, try using the standard Xbox One headset that was included with the console for chat. If you cannot hear chat when using that headset either, the issue may be with the settings or your membership. Make sure your Xbox Live Gold Membership is active and configure the privacy settings:
Sign in using one of the following accounts:
a) Your Xbox Live account
b) The parent account of the child account
On the controller, press the Menu button.
Select Settings, and then select Privacy & online safety.
Select the privacy setting you have enabled (child, teen, adult, custom).
Select Communicate with voice and text.
Choose specific friends or everybody.
For Xbox One Controllers with built in 3.5mm jack only:
Go to Settings > Kinect & Devices > Devices & Accessories > Xbox One Wireless Controller > Volume and make sure Headset mic is On.
If other players still cannot hear you in Xbox Live chat, then there may be an issue with the headset. Please contact our Support Team for further assistance: .

To make sure the ANC is not activated, quick-press the Power button. You should hear a tone (low high) when the ANC isdeactivated. You should then hear yourself through the headset. If you hear a (high low) tone, the ANC has been activated, and a quick press of the Power button should deactivate it again.
PS4:Go toSettings>Devices>Audio Devicesand selectUSB Headset(Stealth 700). Go back one screen to "Adjust Microphone Level" and follow the on-screen calibration instructions. If the bar moves when you speak into the mic, you have verified that the mic is working properly.

*For this test, you will need a Bluetooth-compatible smartphone.
Hold down the headset's Bluetooth button until you hear the "Bluetooth Pairing" voice prompt.
Connect to your headset in your phone's Bluetooth Settings.
Make a test call on the phone. Be sure to keep the phone covered and away from you, to make sure that the headset's mic is the mic picking up the sound, and not the internal microphones in the smartphone itself.
During that test call, could you be heard clearly when you spoke into the mic?

View ArticleIf you believe you may have encountered interference-related issues when using the Stealth 700 wireless headset for Xbox One, such asaudio drop-outs, orother intermittent audio issues, please first check the following.
1.First, confirm that the headset is successfully paired to the Xbox One console by completing the pairing process, as instructed here.In addition, make sure the headset firmware is updated (full instructions here ), and that the headset is charged (for more information, click here ).
2. Make sure the Xbox One Firmware is up-to-date. (Full instructions here.)
3. Try the following steps:
Power Off the Xbox One console.
Disconnect the Power Cable from your Xbox One, and wait 20 seconds.
Reconnect the Power Cable to your Xbox One.
Power On the Xbox One using the Power Button on the front of the Console.
Re-pair the headset to the console, using the Connect Button on your Headset and the Enroll Button on your Xbox One Console.
Once your Headset and Console are paired, connect the controller via USB to the console and turn the controller On.
**Use a standard USB Micro Cable; if you do not have one, you can use the USB Charge Cable included with the headset.**
While your controller is connected through USB, do you still experience the drop-out issues you encountered before?
If the issue is fixed, try disconnecting the USB Cable and continuing to use your Xbox One. Is everything working without issue?
4.Move the headset so that it is in direct line-of-sight of the console. Does the issue persist? Then, move the headset closer to the console. Does the issue persist?
5.Make sure there is no WiFi router or other high-powered wireless device within 5 ft (1.5m) of either the headset or console itself while in use. Depending on the strength of your particular router, you may want to increase the distance beyond 5 ft, to be absolutely sure. In addition, please make sure that any other wireless headsets (Turtle Beach or otherwise) are powered off and disconnected from any power source when using the Stealth 700 headset.
6.Additionally, even if there is no WiFi router located in the immediate vicinity of either the headset or Xbox One console, a good test is to temporarily disable (power off) the router and then test the headset on your console by playing a single-player or offline game. If the same issue does not persist, it is safe to assume the router is indeed causing wireless interference between the console and headset.
ADVANCED
Turtle Beach is not responsible for third-party equipment. Please do not attempt the following unless you are familiar with changing router settings and/or networking.
The Stealth 700 for Xbox One includes a dual-band antenna, which can use either2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, similar to most Wi-Fi routers. If you have completed the steps above, and can confirm your Wi-Fi router is indeed causinginterference for the headset, you may be able to resolve this by restricting your Wi-Fi router to operate on one frequency (2.4GHz or 5GHz) only. This way the headset can operate on the unused frequency, while the router uses the other, hopefully preventing any further interference between the two. Thiscan be done within your router/networking settings; however, the process to complete this will vary between modeland manufacturer for each router.
If the same, seeminglyinterference-related issues continue to occur, please contact our support team: Contact Support

View ArticleMany of our headsets come with removable/replaceable ear cushions. For some models, the serial number is located under the ear cushion itself.
To replace those ear cushions, or to locate and identify the serial number for some models, you'll need to first remove the ear cushion themselves.
Below you'll find instructions on how to remove and replace your headset's ear cushions.

HOW TO REMOVE THE EAR PADS:
The ear pads on our headsets are designed to be removable and replaceable. Depending on the use, for hygiene reasons, we recommend that you replace them every three months or so. They connect with a ring of cloth over a plastic "lip" on the main earpiece. To remove an ear pad, start by pulling the ear pad straight up using your thumb.
Once you've released the cloth from the lip on top, pull the ear pad straight back and it should slip right off.
Some of the ear pads will feel tight around that plastic lip. Don't worry though; the material can stretch enough to add and remove the ear pads without tearing the fabric so long as you exercise a little bit of caution.
HOW TO REPLACE THE EAR PADS:
To put the ear pad back in place, you should first line up the cloth on one side of the ear pad by just sliding the ear pad up. The cloth should slip into the groove or over the lip pretty easily.
Once you have the lip part of the way on, you can just slip a finger around the cloth ring to slide it all into the plastic groove
If it is almost all in place, but you are having trouble with just that last little bit, try gently rotating the ear pad. This will usually pull everything into place.
On some of our headsets, you may need to pull the cloth out on top to get it in place. Just like with removing the ear pad, don't worry; the material will stretch enough to get it on without tearing.
