Open to ideas and balance of work and life
Not much. There are too many white men, all above a certain age.
They take into account what key stakeholders need and want while ensuring their employees are motivated to create the deliverables a project requires.
Lots of endless pushing to get tested for COVID. Disconnected about impacts of paying to park where you work and the cost of parking.
Wide view of possibilities and doesn't micromanage
ASU employees are enrolled in a pension fund. Many companies only provide 401k's, so there is a big difference in how employees are compensated.
vacation policy is great versus industry
The ability to have flexibility in my schedule.
The retirement deal is very good

Unity, fun, get things done fast
They are knowledgeable about their work. They are customer-service oriented and good at transactional things.
We work together to find solutions that create the best value for customers and stakeholders.
Great peers to work with, smart folks, nice people
Co-workers are good overall, some great people, but they mostly feel they settled. On the customer level, they are mostly competent and decent.
Inclusive, flexible, but sometimes can't meet too many coworkers
The values - ASU strives to be affordable & accessible to make an education more easily attainable.
Our leadership creates an atmosphere that is engaging and where people want to do their best.
The work itself is great. I'd be so happy remote just doing my own thing at this point even though I like collaborating. I love when I get to work with students and community members and do so via zoom a lot (and in person) but hate coming into my office culture.
The culture is the best.
Prior questions were given to me
I came prepared and gave them what was required to win the position from my past experiences.
Predictable and the people we nice
You get to talk to people you will be working with.
I had questions to cover but there was time to talk a bit more informally and for me to ask questions as well. I think this more informal space is what actually got me my position.
The brand name, inclusive culture
Doing my own work. Collaborating with bright, like-minded people.
Everyone is pulling for the success of the department and individual; we are moving forward together.
Working with agency and not being tasked with useless things from management.
When I am allowed to do my job without constantly changing metrics that happen either because management is incompetent, they like seeing us run in circles or both. If the customer is happy, that should be good enough, but it isn't. A fixation on productivity when you're underpaying people is bad.
The people I work with and support
Types of projects, coworkers, making a difference
