What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Better pay and career ladders for professional staff would go a long way. It's marginally better for faculty and union staff, as they have pathways for career advances and guaranteed cost of living increases, but overall, most feel underpaid for their level of skill and job responsibilities.
We need a couple of faculty to leave my department.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Hiring committees are typically comprised of a diverse group of potential colleagues who are also stakeholders in the outcome of the hire.
It was 20 years ago so it is hard to remember much about it.
