UT Health San Antonio Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Collaboration and supportive. Everyone is willing to help or guide you as much as they can.

The flexible work schedule is the best thing

There is a true sense of empathy and seeing me as a person.

Regardless of the level of the leader, faculty or physician they always have time for you and are humble

It feels good to know that all our efforts are making tangible influences on helping improve lives. Whether it be a student choosing to pursue a medical career or a patient learning there is a service they need that they can come get, every day each of us make an impact bigger than ourselves.

One of the most positive aspects of the culture is the emphasis on collaboration and mutual respect. People are approachable, willing to share knowledge, and genuinely interested in helping each other succeed. That kind of environment makes it easier to grow, take initiative, and feel comfortable.

We work in support of something that addresses human well-being.

The positive aspect of the culture and environment is how respectful the company is towards new ideas and the exploration of new processes.

The focus of importance on the nature of the work.

We are treated like professionals.

The encouragement for professional development.

The institution as a whole actively promotes diversity and inclusion, celebrating individual differences and creating a welcoming environment for all.

Culture starts at the top. When leadership demonstrates a positive attitude and care for everyone, then it's easy to follow that lead. It's easy to lead in this environment, when I know that the team at the top has a good moral compass. The day this changes will be the day I pull the rip cord.

We enjoy each other's company and work together well to accomplish tasks.

mission driven and focused on serving others

I love the atmosphere and the culture integration

Everyone seems to care about one another.

Everyone strives to make sure patient care is not skimped on

We are surrounded by people of different backgrounds and there is always sharing, whether it's food, holiday traditions or cultural traditions.

Our leader is very intentional on building our team dynamic and ensuring we work in an environment where people can freely and honestly express their opinions in a professional and courteous manner.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

We need to educate our employees about different cultures , bring in a professional to explain the differences

Work on building strong (healthy) employee relations, create positive employee experiences, open up transparency and communications, and schedule regular and meaningful one-on-ones

better communication, pro active approach and better relationships with admin staff.

Experience is key. Will take time.

1. PAY A COMPETITIVE WAGE 2. Compensate for remote workers equipment and internet. 3. Lead. Try being leaders. 4. BE PROACTIVE, not REACTIVE.

Some sort of a sign that something is actually being done. We barely even hear talk that moves are being made to remedy our staffing problems. We are about to open a hospital, and we can barely run just an outpatient clinic presently.
