UT Health San Antonio Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Encourage professional development and supportive.

They encourage an environment of development and growth. There are opportunities to learn and become certified in my field.

They are authentic and transparent and really care about the employees and the community. They have a clear vision and the org is doing great things

They all have open door policies, even if it is sometimes difficult to get on their calendar they will often make time if you really need a one-on-one.

My leadership team works diligently, as I do, and comprehends the significance of my role as well as the time required to complete my projects.

Does not micromanage and allows creativity in problem solving

I like that my leadership team is transparent and supports their team. They are our biggest advocates!

Take the time to provide context, feedback and insight when needed.

They are DYNAMIC! And this energy in infectious.

Their commitment to our mission.

I like the open and transparent communication that keeps us informed about important decisions and changes, especially with the coming merger.

The leadership team works hard on transparency and communication to the staff, faculty & students. We're in a very dynamic position, and the ongoing communication makes a huge difference in my understanding of the goals and where I fit in that process. This is key component for keeping me here.

They care about each of us both personally and professionally.

Visionary with the will to execute

They care about the team. They respect each other and their expertise. There is a positive work/life balance culture.

They lead by example which has been a great motivation

They ask our opinions and care about our feedback. That's important to having a cohesive team.

I appreciate leadership's dedication to our mission and consistency in making our mission the center of decisionmaking.

Our leaders are , supportive, appreciative and inspiring.

They are committed to serving our patients in a compassionate manner and always strive to get them the best care possible.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

I need more time to ponder this question.

THEY NEED TO TRAIN THEIR EMPLOYEES BETTER AND LISTENING TO THEIR COMPLAINTS AND NEEDS.

Better communication to the entire staff. Not having clear goals.

Everything. There is no system

Compensate or match paid according the Market, for UT Health employees don't have to seek a 2nd job with inflation and cost of living San Antonio is growing every year & 1% increment rise for the past 2 years and no increase on 2021 we cannot longer stretch our our checks.

pay employees more for their work

Leadership skills, communication, and transparency

Better recognition for a job well done, personal development and promotions for those that have worked for them.

communication, nothing is transparent everything is a secret in our department. no compensation or recognition to their employees. This department needs to be seriously re-evaluated and make serious changes with management.

There is no clear path to being promoted to the next level of my job. I have been getting on excuse after another. It's sad to say that I'm going to seek employment elsewhere. I have been at UT for over five years with near perfect evaluations and I have not been promoted or received a raise.

Realizing that their employees are overworked and do not feel appreciated.

GET TRAINED! TREAT EMPLOYEES LIKE AN INDIVISUAL ADULT! NO MICROMANAGEMENT PLEASE!

Leadership. They only tear down employees, never build them up.

They need to be on board with increasing the salaries of the staff employees. The staff are basically who keep the faculty where they need to be., The staff are not appreciated by most of the higher ups.

The leadership team should treat employees well, not just say they do. Actions speak louder than words.

Compensating their employees better and providing more opportunity for growth.

Communication, paying attention to the smaller details and compensation.

Employee focus. Has lost sight. Tunnel vision has blurred the big picture.

One division is superior to the other. There is no clear direction.

Clearer communication and transparence when it comes to let us know how they can help us as an employee.
