Mr. Corey Zankowski, Ph.D. has been Chief Technology Innovation Officer and Senior Vice President at Varian Medical Systems, Inc. since April 05, 2017. Mr. Zankowski is responsible for establishing world-class strategic innovation processes to accelerate time-to-market and increase the success rate of new innovations from Varian. He is also responsible for exploring innovative business models that are aligned with, or enabled by, new technologies. Dr. Zankowski joined Varian in 1999 and served as Vice President of product and strategic portfolio management for the Oncology Systems business and was responsible for directing and realizing Varian's strategic roadmap for new product development. He is well respected in the global oncology community and is one of the top patent holders at Varian. He is trained as a medical physicist, receiving his B.S., M.Sc., and PhD at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
