Matthew Wallach — Co-Founder & President at Veeva Systems

Mr. Matthew J. Wallach, also known as Matt, serves as President of Veeva Systems, Inc. Mr. Wallach co-founded the firm in 2007. He also served as an Executive Vice President and General Manager at the firm. He served as Chief Strategy Officer of Veeva Systems Inc. from September 2010 to August 2013. He was responsible for all aspects of sales, marketing and business development of the company. Previously at Veeva, Mr. Wallach served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Director. He served as the Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Product Management at Symyx Software Inc. from January 2004 to December 2004. Mr. Wallach led the global marketing and product management teams and was responsible for ensuring that products deliver tangible business benefits. He joined the firm in January 2004. He served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Health Market Science Inc., where he was responsible for setting the future product and technology direction of Health Market. Prior to that, Mr. Wallach was Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at IntelliChem. He was the General Manager of Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology division of Siebel Systems, where he was responsible for building this global division. Mr. Wallach started his career at Booz Allen & Hamilton, where he was a management consultant focusing on the chemicals and pharmaceuticals industries. He is a Member of Advisory Board of SeventySix Capital, Crossix and Everypath Inc. Mr. Wallach has ten years of software product management, marketing and general management experience. In 2007, Mr. Wallach was named in the PharmaVOICE 100 recognizing him as one of the 100 most influential people in the life sciences industry. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics from Yale University Cum Laude.
