Compensation is improving however it is mismatched with our goals. We lose too many good performers. Our culture is great, but culture is just one piece. Many just cant ignore the salaries available elsewhere. In a technologically connected world location is increasingly irrelevant.

Pay more. Leaders at Verisk do not know how to pay software and technical talent what they are worth. The low talent that they attract and retain makes this obvious.
People try to get along and not hurt feelings more than they try to solve problems or learn how to do their jobs better.
Focus on getting things done quickly and efficiently and less on following protocol and process.
