What is the best part about your compensation package?I'm at a station that gets paid at the minimum rate that does more work under short staff. I have worked 7 years while the newcomer at a station like LAX or SFO will make the same pay as me just starting. I also live in a city that is the same or even more expensive to live in.
What are some of the best things about your team?we all have each others back during tough shifts and times at the airport like GDP's.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?Stepping up when their help is needed instead of hiding in the back from an angry guest just for their employees below them have to handle.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation? My station falls under the minimum pay next to other stations such as SFO and LAX that get paid a lot more. I can be a new employee doing the same job and get paid the same rate as I am being an employee of 7 years. My city is just as or even more expensive to live in as well.
What needs to change to make the company culture better? The airport is toxic and highly stressful, especially during long 16+ hour shifts during delays.
