What do you like best about the leadership team?
They sometimes help at busy times
Transparency and communication are key in team success. The leadership at VM is top notch!
My leadership is great. Very helpful and appreciative. No overtime and I spent at least an hour extra a day working and most days 2 hours. I also never took breaks except for restroom. I would eat at desk and work. I had to to get all my work done. It's important to me to help everyone as much
Commitment to staff and patients
Unit managers are supportive and understanding. They support positive work environment, engage staff in decision-making, and promote staff career development.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
They need to actually care about their employees and their work environment and well-being. Leadership helps encourage a toxic work environment, and encourages back-stabbing, which I have never experienced before. They also participate and encourage gossip.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The benefits of healthelcare and education are standard in industry.

Health benefits are good, although per paycheck we pay a fair amount. I like the $50/year bus pass!
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I was the lowest paid and hourly with no OT but I did the job of others higher paid. Even those with less seniority. I was very seasoned in my position
They expect you to give it all and work hard, but give nothing in return to give incentive. They expect you to pick up others slack when they do not complete their work, and do not recognize you when you do complete it.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We dont have staff meetings

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Unionize because leadership is too far gone
Better access to current information
Unfortunately, even though every one you work with is over 18 and considered adults, there is a high school mentality in the work environment. Back-stabbing, rumors, and toxicity runs rampant through the department, causing coworkers to not interact efficiently. They refuse to work together.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The other staff i work with

Inclusivity and willingness to help other team members in need!
Coworkers and leadership (Directors and Senior Directors) all great. All other people in my same position did not hesitate to help.
Making the patients smile or greeting others in other departments.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Patients can never see their providers when they want to
Not enough staff to take care of the patients. Patients are expected to make calls to referrals and some cannot remember to do that therefore they are forgotten and it's a safety issue.
There needs to be change implemented instead of simply talked about. There are systems and procedures they have that is outdated, and no matter how much talk of improvement there is, they remain stagnant. Management needs to be let go if they show nepotism, which goes on blatantly here.
