VSP Vision Care Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Profit Sharing and medical benefits

We have a top-notch wellness program.

They have great benifits, it pays well

Health and dental insurance coverage and cost

Review from Operations Dept

Bonuses and 401k are best

Benefits for the whole family

Takes very good care of me

Pay and health and vision

The rewards and benefits go way beyond your base salary. 10% profit sharing is the best. In addition, the incentive compensation is based on performance, and it can be a high percentage of your pay.

Review from Marketing Dept

Not sure as of now

Well of course we have amazing vision care. The best part of the compensation package is the retirement match.

The best part yearly bonus

Good pay, company match on 401K up to 5%. Company pays up to 10% w/o match into 401K. I feel like this company is trying hard to support me being ready for retirement, someday.

My premium for medical is very low

Review from Customer Support Dept

free eye insurance, buy up plan well worth it.

Review from Sales Dept

Retirement matching program is outstanding

Review from Marketing Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

They pay lower than industry average and you have to do the jobs of the lazy people in your group. More compensation and evaluation based on merit and experience is necessary.

Compensation and benefits of the average worker are sacrificed for the elite C-suite.

Pay needs to be higher for some functions

Paid signficanrlt below market. Each year company cuts more benefits even though enterprise profitabiloty has improved with a remote workforce.

more pay of course lol

More than a 20 cent a year raise to keep up with the cost of living. Cheaper health care. If they are a 6 billion dollar healthcare company making a 2 billion a year profit, why do they only offer horrible High Deductible health care plans? Value your employees more.

I have been working for VSP for almost 7 years and only making $18.47 an hour new hires are paid $18 an hour to start yeah I have a bigger job responsibilities they transfer all of the claims and complaints calls to me causing my average handle time to go up and that is not accounted for in a review

Benefits are cut drastically every year with their budget to blame, even though they will go on to brag about making 6 billion in revenue.

Going above and beyond is overlooked. If you were acknowledged and given credit for the things you did, and paid a livable wage, that would be better.

Review from Customer Support Dept

This year our health insurance benefits were cut, with a statement that we should expect further cuts in the future.

Review from Customer Support Dept

All employees are underpaid except the office manager/HR because of personal relations with owner.

Review from Sales Dept

I spent a few days applying for other jobs and quickly got 2 offers with better compensation and a less stressful environment. Vsp needs to realize they are going to keep losing employees at a high rate if they don't offer wages comparable to other employers in the area

No HMO plan offered compared to other leading employers in the area that offer full benefits packages. Only high deductible plans. Ironic for a company that promotes wellness.
