VSP Vision Care Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Try to he inclusive and supportive, although very guarded about sharing opportunities.

The leaders encourage growth and are very supportive.

Listen to their employees and take their advice

Review from Sales Dept

clearly defined goals are established

Review from Sales Dept

Supportive and postive reinforcement is provided.

Most fast moving companies have leadership layer that is nimble and flat, VSP is top heavy and bureaucratic. Hence very few of VSP's businesses actually turn any profit or contribute to any sort of industry innovation.

They provide very insightful resources

My manager is one of the best I've had in my employment history.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Good C-suite. Leadership making changes to the super stale VP layer but mot quite fast enough. Thanks to stagnant leaders who are unwilling to change, the company has fallen begind the curve. New CEO among the best company has had, so there's hope for change.

I love the communications from everyone

I love that the leadership team allows other leaders and individual contributors to try new things, to take calculated risks in their work. They are also fantastic with recognizing employees!

They push us in the right direction

Understand life-work balance and support for employees professional growth.

Learning about health care management

They are told what to do by the CEO but not explained how to do it so when they tell the employees we don’t know how to do it eith

Creating long term value, getting rid of old executives who get on the way of change.

Learn the job your employees are doing if you are going to supervise them and rate their calls for reviews and bonuses.

Stop making excuses for bad practices. Give better benefits and a wage that keeps up with cost of living. Train CSR's on calls that they will be taking instead of just say take the calls. Give realistic expectations for call times and better commission.

Using constructive coaching, not being retaliatory when you say something they don't like or don't agree with. And please please stop acting like a bunch of high school kids.

Everything you could possibly imagine.

Understanding what their employees are good at and enabling them to succeed at those tasks

Review from Customer Support Dept

No leadership at all. It’s either the managers way or no way. If manager is in a bad mood, everyone suffers. Very toxic.

Review from Sales Dept

Communication and transparency with employees. Low level employees are treated as if they are easily replaceable so there's low morale and high turnover

Too much hierarchy. Leaders worry more about politics than what's best for business.

Being a team

Review from Operations Dept

everything it was a nightmare
