  • We have begun removing ginger sachets from all sushi sets as of Friday 2nd June 2017. This is in response to customer feedback on the levels of ginger sachet waste and our own investigations that demonstrate that most customers discard the ginger.

    If you would like a ginger sachet with your sushi set, please speak to staff at the till as a sachet is still on offer to all customers buying a sushi set at no additional cost.

  • Yes indeed. As with all things Wasabi, we like to keep our packaging as simple and effective as possible which includes aspiring toall packaging being environmentally friendly and 100\% recyclable.

    Our bags are moving from 25\% to 30\% renewable resources we encourage our staff members to enquire if our customers need bags or not.

    We are constantly working on improving our packaging and ensuring that it is environmentally friendly.

    All of our sushi should be eaten within 2 hours of purchase to maintain freshness and taste.Our Hot food should be eaten within 2 hours of purchase and not reheated.

  • The salmon we currently use is high quality farmed Atlantic Scottish salmon and Norwegiansalmon, from parasite-free water sources.

    It is fine to eat raw and all of our processes comply with the relevant food safety regulations.

    Bearing this in mind, it’s your call whether to eat sushi during pregnancy. If you have any concerns it’s best to seek specialist medical and nutritional advice.

  • Absolutely, we are committed to responsible sourcing and use of the best of the world’s catch from well-managed and sustainable fisheries.

    We use Scottish & Norwegian farmed salmon and Yellowfin tuna for our sushi. Our Yellowfin tuna is line caught using short deep set long lines.
