John J. Morris Jr. — Senior Vice President of Operations at Waste Management

Mr. John J. Morris, Jr., has been a Senior Vice President of Operations at Waste Management, Inc. since July 26, 2012. Mr. Morris oversees a number of areas of the business, ranging from performance management to strategic acquisitions. He started with Waste Management in 1994, starting as a Frontline Manager and working his way up to the company's senior leadership team. He is an Advisor of EnerTech Capital. Mr. Morris served as the Chief Strategy Officer of Waste Management, Inc. since March 22, 2012 until July 26, 2012. He has also served as a Area Vice President of the Greater Mid Atlantic, where he brought in solid returns, as well as established himself as a leader in customer service. Before that, Mr. Morris served as a Vice President for New Jersey, where he focused on growing non-traditional business solutions that are now commonplace across the company. Prior to that, he served as a Vice President of the New York City area, where he oversaw all of Waste Management's operations for the largest city in the nation. Over all of his years with Waste Management, he has shown an ability to build and manage strong teams that drive operations towards margin expansion, improved return on investment and better customer service. He has demonstrated the customer focus Waste Management needs to continue its success. He has strategic perspective and 23 years of operational experience are a perfect match for growing the company. He is a graduate of Rutgers University.
