Peter Durette — President of Enterprise Solutions and Strategy at Westrock Company

Mr. Peter C. Durette, also known as Pete, has been President of Enterprise Solutions and Strategy at WestRock Company since March 06, 2017. Mr. Durette served as Chief Strategy & Corporate Development Officer at WestRock Company since September 12, 2016. Mr. Durette served as an Executive Vice President of Strategy, Beverage and Home, Health & Beauty at WestRock Company until September 12, 2016 and served as its Chief Strategy Officer. Mr. Durette served as a Senior Vice President of Home, Health & Beauty Packaging at MeadWestvaco Corporation. Mr. Durette served as Chief Strategy Officer of MeadWestvaco Corporation since December 2009 and also as its Senior Vice President since 2012. He served as Vice President of MeadWestvaco Corporation since December 2009. He joined MeadWestvaco in 2009. Mr. Durette oversees MWV's strategy development and management process by integrating and aligning all strategy functions and assisting its senior leadership in developing next-generation profitable growth strategies. He is instrumental in continuing MeadWestvaco's focus on driving long-term growth in shareholder value. He establishes a new MWV Strategy Council to coordinate the work of the Strategic Business Units and the Finance, Human Resources, Operations and Supply Chain groups. He served as Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at Textron Inc., since September 1, 2008, where he was responsible for designing and implementing a shareholder value-based strategic planning process to coordinate decision-making across its portfolio of businesses. Mr. Durette served closely with senior Textron's leadership across the enterprise in creating and implementing business unit and corporate strategies that drive growth, profitability and shareholder value creation. In addition to led Textron's cross-enterprise Strategy Council, he also served as a Corporate Officer and a Member of Transformation Leadership Team at Textron, comprised of the top executives of corporation. Prior to joining Textron in September 2008, he served as Strategic Advisory Firm at Trinsum's (formerly, Marakon Associates) Partner and Head of its global talent base and infrastructure. He served as a Consultant and Partner at Marakon Associates. During his 14-year career at Trinsum, Mr. Durette's client work spanned a number of industries - most notably diversified industrials, private equity, aerospace & defense, consumer products, healthcare and financial services with particular expertise in corporate and business unit strategy, management process, acquisitive growth and performance turnarounds. In addition to his client work at Trinsum, he served as the Global Talent Partner, through which he was responsible for leading the global recruiting, development and retention of talent. Mr. Durette holds a BA degree in Economics from Duke University and an MBA in Finance & Strategic Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania., where he graduated in the top five percent of his class as a Palmer Scholar.
