How much diversity is there among employees at Yahoo?
Not much diversity
Yahoo! is pretty diverse. Only race that feels underrepresented is african-american. But that seems like a general issue in the tech industry - Yahoo! isn;t any worse for sure.
Diversity is important to the company brand.
What kind of people succeed at Yahoo?
I’d disagree with this. As with all companies, it largely depends on how you get along with your direct manager. My post is one made by someone who was just cut. I’d also have to chime in that I was only exposed to one segment of the overall company.

in your opinion, are women treated differently? If you think so… how?
Speaking for the sales org - yes, in that they get 8 months off where men get a few weeks when they have children. Working from home privileges also tend to favor females, though that is largely (as are most of these questions) based on the policies of lower level management. Overall, if you look at the leadership until very recently, you had a female CEO, female CRO, female head of sales... seems like a relatively female friendly org.
Women are treated pretty fairly and are given dedicated forums (like women in tech) to give speeches, grow their skills and bring to light any problems and issues.
What needs to change to make the company culture better at Yahoo?

More modern approach to work from home, working in remote offices, telecommuting, etc.
Better transparency, better collaboration between teams to reach company goals.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation at Yahoo?

Yahoo has been unable to keep up with the market pay rates, it pay much less on average than the big guys like Google, FB, Netflix, etc.
Better retention through the Verizon acquisition.
How are layoffs handled in the Customer Support department at Yahoo?
They take you out to the courtyard where the guillotine is kept for public di-memberings

Mid market / inside historically has been exceptionally strong going on two decades despite what the markets have said about the overall org. New head is questionable.

8 hours We are not allowed to work OT. vibe is all about how management is doing poorly and careless about the people on the front lines

What's the IT team like at Yahoo?
Team mates are amazing and great to work with. But our executives and management team in The CIO ORG do not care about us or about the feed back they ask for. So why even ask us for feedback if they are not going to do anything with it.

They are very good at what they do and are always open to sharing and teaching when approached

Wish there was more transparency in general.
Do you feel like the company is well-staffed, or are too many people spread thin?
Too many people now since Verizon . They are keeping all the fake people that are really good at kissing up and not really good at their job.
