Wayne Day Jr. ā Chief Security Officer at YRC Worldwide
Executive Bio
Mr. Wayne L. Day, Jr., also known as Butch, serves as the Chief Security Officer of YRC Worldwide Inc. since 2006. Mr. Day joined YRC Worldwide in 1991. He has worked to establish, develop and implement security programs and best practices designed to provide a safe and secure environment for employees, customers and properties. Drawing on his 32 years of experience in law enforcement and transportation security, he serves as lead liaison for YRC Worldwide and its operating companies to the law enforcement community, ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local requirements and laws that govern the trucking industry. He serves on the board of directors of the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers and is a member of the National Association of Chiefs of Police and the American Society of Industrial Security. Day is a current member and past chairman of the American Trucking associations Security Council. Mr. Day attended the University of Texas at Dallas and Jackson State Community College and holds a degree in political science.
