Before joining Cigna, Mr. Bertolini served as an Executive Vice President at NYLCare Health Plans and Chief Executive Officer at SelectCare, Inc. He began his career in 1985 as Director of Business Development for SelectCare, Inc. He has been an Independent Director of Verizon Communications Inc. since February 5, 2015 and Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company since February 10, 2015. He serves as a Director of The Partnership for New York City, Inc. He is affiliated with several nonprofit entities, including Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, Inc., Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation Inc., and the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.
