I'm in the process of what seems like an extensive background check but they have yet to say anything about a drug screening.

Unlike some other employers, everything is contingent on your vertical, and sometimes, you direct line. In my case, there's a definite promotion path which you can proceed down if you distinguish yourself (if you're on a team that produces things). However, I've been told that any deviation from that path requires interviewing for another role in a different department.

Highly variable depending on how popular you are with Managers and the Architects. Being noticed in meetings is considered more valuable than skill. I say that as someone who joined the company as a Junior and made it to Lead.

Vast difference between departments. Posted position info is vague

I have a great deal of flexibility and the ability to set my own stack which is great. But, holy God the chaos, pace and rework due to business partners not understanding their needs.
