Q&A With Humana Employees

Asked to all employees at Humana

  • Depends on team and manager. If you have a good manager, it still depends on that manager's director.

  • Depends on the department. Salaried nurses are expected to work 'overtime ' to meet production goals so some days are 8 hrs others 10 with struggling logging in on Saturdays.

  • Work/Life balance is highly valued at Humana. Most positions have the ability to work remotely from home. The finance department I worked in was mostly relaxed, though if there is a deadline to be met you will be expected to log in on the weekends.

  • Hiring transparency. In Humana hiring is done internally and biased. This is causing diversity issue. Stop hiring spouses without evaluating talent.

  • Departments working more closely together to improve customer experience. Customer service and sales are not on the same page. Sometimes members get transferred to all different departments and it is frustrating to everyone, including employees.

  • Break down of silos more transparency
