utilizing the talent at hand and not trying to force them to fit a mold they don't quite fit - it's one thing to develop and improve but if their skillsets are strong in an area, utilize those skills and share wins in that aspect

Real connection, don't fake it - take time to understand personally with what works and what doesn't. Stop comparing people whose skills do not match. Stop micro-managing and let people learn the way that works best for them. If a small mistake, recognize/move on and don't hold it against them/tally

not just recognizing the multitude of complexities in a role, but matching the pay for it - recognizing people when they have pushed themselves outside of the comfort zone and/or to go above and beyond of what is asked of them - stepping away from the "that's not your/my job" and help others
