There seems to be no interest in investing in current team members as the company evolves. There is no direct path of career development in the company and no opportunities for training or leveling up. The minute KPIs aren't met the threat of being replaced surfaces.

The interview process was standard. The onboarding process after hire was substandard and with it being a fully remote team, they really need to create a process that is more seamless and less like feeling like you're being plunged into the deep end of the pool.

The ambition of the founders is apparent, but they are divorced from the reality in what it requires to actually get the job done - especially in regards to time frame. Very often large initiatives will be brought up with a very short turnaround (e.g. the homepage redesign).

Que faut-il changer pour améliorer la culture de l’entreprise?

KPIs need to be aligned with the resources available. If resources change, the KPIs need to adjust to reflect that in a realistic way, not an optimistic way. The prioritization needs to be crystal clear and the whiplash of moving from one project to another needs to be slowed down.

The one bright spot in this company outside of the poor leadership at the top is that the teams of worker bees are made up of some of the brightest, talented minds. They're good people who are invested in a shared mission. And if they had enough resources and direction/leadership, they would soar.
