The people at the company are really trying to do the right and proper thing for the benefit of the company. It may not always be the right thing, but it is not done with any ill intent.

the Executive team needs to be streamlined. Too many layers of executives make the company top-heavy, so when cutbacks and layoffs come, too many of the people doing the work get cut to support the bloated management structure.
