  • When is he getting fired? They have done several layoffs and not enough came from the top. The ones who put CB in a bad spot are still there making bad decisions.

  • Our CEO's presence is lacking currently. People wonder how much he is still influencing the direction of the organization.

  • CEO lacks setting direction and ensuring it is cascaded to all levels of company. Change management communication needs significant improvement.

  • Office is pretty fun over all. It's an open layout, so Nerf gun wars occasionally break out. Not sure how it's going to change going forward

  • Depends on which office. Chicago, very Corp like; heavy sales population. Norcross very casual. It would be odd to see someone in a suit in Norcross.

  • It's not good. There's a lot of people leaving voluntarily right now. With the lack of clear direction from upper management, the loss of a lot of the perks that we enjoyed (such summer hours, rewards for doing well), delayed promotions/raises, and generally a lower salary than our competitors, a lot of people are looking elsewhere for jobs right now.

  • Majority of the perks and benefits which offset the low compensation have been eliminated and compensation has not been adjusted. Very underpaid vs market

  • $10,000 per year for MBAs. $400 wellness reimbursement. Most people can work from home sometimes. Tuition reimbursement for non-related degrees - you can go to school for whatever you want.

  • Wellness reimbursement; worklife balance is strong; hackathons for tech groups, free food; beer-thirty; IT wine club.

  • Our C-level team is very diverse now. Currently, our CFO is Asian, our CHRO is female, our CIO is African-American, our CPO is Indian, our COO is female, our CMO is female, our President of Employment Solutions is female, and our General Counsel is African-American. Our leadership is very diverse.

  • My experience as a woman at CB has been positive. There are groups such as CBWiT and CBHer that meet every month or so, and my team has been great.

  • They say all the right things in their handbook and policies about being a diverse and EEOC company. But some of their practices are contrary to policies.

  • The people are really our best assets. Hoping that won't change under the new private equity regime. Not a lot of diversity though with a lot of white and mostly male leaders and managers. A typical sales force organization that is trying hard to evolve into something else.

  • If I was to become micro-managed or was forced to travel.

  • Escalation of the types of changes we've been seeing over the last 3 months. Many of us are passively looking to leave and hearing many will more actively search at the beginning of 2018.

    Over our lifetime, very very rare, but this year we did have some because we were acquired and they wanted to change our cost structure.

  • We just had one that affected about 130 employees in September. Everyone is thinking we'll have another one in early 2018.

  • Not often; did one in 2008 (understandable) and one in sept 2017; new owners so so many inefficiencies that required company to trim the fat and get rid of positions no longer needed. When they do happen, the entire execution process is flawed.

  • People who are determined and not afraid to take risks. People who communicate candidly but also diplomatically. People who build bridges across departments instead of being territorial.

  • Friends of people at the top who do exactly what they're told and don't make too much noise. It's helpful if you're a man, too.

  • Those who are very tenured and those friends with anyone in C suite, especially the CEO (add sarcasm here)

  • I feel entirely secure but there is not much redundancy in my role. I am hopeful that we've finished doing reductions and I think that the remaining people are secure, as long as their skills do not become outdated.

  • A lot less than I did 6 months ago. I receive great reviews, work really hard, stay on top of trends and expertise in my field, and am well-liked and respected across the organization. But I still don't feel like that helps me. Not receiving adequate salary increases in recognition of my contributions either and am preparing to leave while I still have the choice and upper hand in my career.

  • Zero security! HR and managers will give you some vague answer or some PC talk track; but most people can read between the lines.

  • Right now -very - but in a good way. It is very dynamic and I can influence a lot right now.

  • If you want to grow your skills and knowledge here, you need to be a self-starter with a lot of initiative and resources to invest in your own professional development. Our L&D and HR teams have been decimated by turnover and all the tech and ops teams, and their managers, are maxed-out with the loss of so many of our employees and don't have much time to train or mentor anyone else. So you're pretty much on your own to find new areas to stretch and find challenges outside of the day-to-day keeping your head above water..

  • Bc lack of setting direction and poor communication at the c suite level, hard to know what to focus on. Direction keeps changing.

  • I'm a software engineer. Culture used to be great, but after CareerBuilder's recent acquisition by Apollo, a lot of the engineers have left. It's hard to maintain a good culture if all of the engineers leave.

  • Average base salary for an engineer (depending on experience and before any bonuses) is $65,000 - $104,000. Bonuses are supposed to be about 10% on top of that, but are dependent on company and personal performance at a 50/50 split.

  • great work/life balance...40 hour weeks

  • Aside from the morose atmosphere due to the layoffs and attrition, the people are great and the attitudes are generally good. I work 40 hours a week and get playfully chided by my team if I work more than that. They'll tell me to go home. The occasional Nerf war breaks out, hackathons are fun, and the problems are usually pretty interesting to work on.
