Engage with our department to understand what we do and the struggles we have to overcome just to get our job done. We need to have common goals and understand how our decisions affect other departments.

I should spend my time being an engineer and solving real problems, not working through countless hours in Avetta just to get a vendor on site to perform work, or jumping through hoops to satisfy Procurements rules just to purchase a piece of equipment that I know is the best solution, much more

Pourquoi vous sentez-vous sous-évalué et qu’est-ce qui vous rassurerait par rapport à votre rémunération?

It took 15 years for me to get a promotion when I was rated that I exceeded expectations 8 out of the 15 years. Evonik's Technical Promotion Ladder is non existent. Also, if I were valued, upper management (not just my mgr and 2nd level mgr) would take the time to engage to understand what we do.

Que faut-il changer pour améliorer la culture de l’entreprise?

It's not just about the hours you work in a day, it's how often you can take PTO without feeling guilty because you have no backup person to support you while you take PTO. And when you come back from PTO you have twice as much to do. There used to be 6 engineers that do what I now do.
